Yes, yes, we understand, just when you thought life couldn’t get any more awesome, the World’s Greatest Fuel Truck enters the market!

It’s a 1956 Dodge with a PTO and a 400 gallon tank. Even better, we’re putting it out on the blog/Facebook this weekend to give our loyalists first crack at the thing. After that we’re going to have to spend money to advertise it, so the price will go up.

Best of all? We are taking offers on the World’s Greatest Fuel Truck.

Now, granted, it does’t run. We seem to recall it has a broken cam or something important like that gone out of it. And the fuel tank, well yeah, does have some rust in it that we can see. So you’ll have to haul it out of here, and clean the tank out if you want to use it.

But we’re taking offers, I mean c’mon!

Note, further, it has been kept under cover, that’s one, and it has a racing-style air filter on the broken engine, that’s two. The tires give the appearance of being able to hold air.

This being Easter, we encourage all to attend a congregation of their choosing this weekend.

Far be it from us to tell anyone how to conduct their affairs, but if you’re a restaurant, (not “you” so much as if you represent a restaurant) and are looking for a small airplane as part of your interior decor, have we got a deal for you.

This is a Pietenpol, it’s light (a bit lighter than  a cub) and all there except the engine. We’re thinking it would look good hanging from the ceiling for some restaurant/club/shop looking to hang an airplane from the rafters.

For that matter, if you’re building a Pietenpol we’ve got a fuselage for you.

It’s been ground-looped, the gear’s off it, but other than the engine is all there. Call.

The airplane is designed to cruise at 500 or 600 miles an hour; it’s designed to land at about 150 or 160 mph. We didn’t know what was physically wrong with the airplane. And we were afraid that once we departed this delicate balance that we were operating in that we may lose control of the airplane again.
