Aircraft Storage Building

The People, Equipment, Experience and Skills...

Aircraft Storage Building OutsideIn the aircraft retrieval business it takes people, equipment and a plan to safely reclaim a downed plane. Dawson aircraft has developed a reputation of doing every retrieval safely and effectively. We have a staff of people that are knowledgeable and have what it takes to retrieve aircraft successfully.

Whether you've surfed a rough landing or (God forbid) encountered a significant crash, the retrieval of your aircraft resolves many concerns. And in the big picture, professional retrieval service can and will save as much as possible on your investment. But don't take our word for it. Many of our clients are government agencies and insurance companies that demand only the best aircraft retrieval service.

Often, though, just getting to the location of a downed plane can be challenging. Then comes the job of disassembly, packing, rigging to hoist and securing for transport. It's important to disassemble the aircraft safely and efficiently. We travel all over the country retrieving downed aircraft, there are not too many place we won't go retrieve an aircraft. It's a job we enjoy.

Not too many people realize what goes into retrieving an aircraft. It's work that calls for the qualified hands and experienced minds of experts. People who know your concerns, and who have everyone's well-being at heart.

The hardest thing about a retrieval is the reality that someone has past away and the the hurts and pains of family members are present. We are always sensitive to the family and friends who suffer a loss and handle each retrieval with patience and kindness.

Recently we had some unfortunate weather conditions cause us to be very busy. Everyone is aware of the destruction that Hurricane Katrina had on New Orleans much less the whole country. We were called out to retrieve several aircraft that were destroyed by the flood waters. We took several pictures and posted them to a gallery that you can see below.

Storage For all of Your Needs

Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina was one of the deadliest hurricanes in the history of the United States. It was the sixth-strongest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded and the third-strongest land falling U.S. hurricane ever recorded. Katrina occurred late in August during the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season, and devastated much of the Gulf Coast of the United States. Most notable in national media coverage were unique catastrophic effects on the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. Katrina's sheer size devastated the Gulf Coast over 100 miles away from its center.

The services of Dawson Aircraft, Inc. were enlisted to recover some 85 airplanes from the Gulf Coast region. It took 10 weeks and countless trips to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas to complete the task. Please take a look at some of the pictures from our adventure.

Please, feel free to call us at 501-745-6550 for aircraft retrieval rates and service details. Our business is built by serving you.
